The Conference provides you with the best opportunity to network with decision makers, top researchers and practitioners, too. We are very pleased to organize the Conference with many Taiwanese experts. We do hope everyone will enjoy the energetic smell in this sunny harbor city of Taiwan!
Dear Colleagues and Friends,
Greetings from the Taiwan Association for the Study of the Liver (TASL)!
On behalf of TASL, I am delighted to invite you to join the upcoming 5th APASL Single Topic Conference on Hepatitis C Virus, in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
The theme of this APASL Conference is Hepatitis C: Before and Beyond Cure. As you know HCV infection is an important healthcare issue globally, and especially in the Asia-Pacific region. Knowing how best to prevent and treat HCV infection is very important to hepatologists, but also raises challenges. HCV therapy has evolved very fast over the past 5 years. Direct antiviral agents were launched in 2011, followed by interferon-free regimens in 2013 and all-oral therapy in 2014 – all have revolutionized the HCV treatment landscape.
Through interactive presentations and discussions, we can gain a deeper understanding of HCV infection that will hasten breakthroughs in prevention and treatment. We look forward to learning from your excellent research as well as sharing our own experiences and findings. We are honoured to be joined by distinguished colleagues from across the region and will strive to ensure that this Conference emulates the success of previous ones.
Kaohsiung City is located in southern Taiwan. Blessed with charming scenery and a picturesque harbor, this beautiful city guarantees a friendly welcome and delicious cuisine.
I look forward to hosting you at the 2016 APASL STC on HCV Kaohsiung, for what promises to be a memorable and inspiring meeting.
See you in Kaohsiung!
Prof. Rong-Nan Chien
President, Taiwan Association for the Study of the Liver (TASL)
